Trick-or-Treat! Smell my feet give me somethin’ good to eat!... Everybody knows what that means, it’s Halloween Time!
Some people think that Halloween is very bad, but we think that it is whatever you make of it. Most of the things going-on at Halloween time are, let’s be real, just plain, harmless fun. Just remember this…When believers in Jesus Christ participate in anything (even Halloween) their attitudes, dress, and behavior should Glorify Christ. (Phillipians 1:27)With this being said, we (Megan & Miranda) don’t like to dress up in scary costumes.
Every year we attend a Fall Festival at a local Church. Fall Festivals are Awesome! Safe! And So Much Fun! This is a safe way for kids to enjoy Halloween time. We get to dress up in fun costumes, not SCARY-Hairy costumes! Last year Miranda and I were Indians. At the Festivals we have so much fun playing games, like the Cake-Walk, and jumping in the bouncy tents, throwing balls and the best part about the Games are…the Prizes!! …Candy! Which is Miranda’s Favorite, she loves candy! And definitely eats way too much!
We always try to make Halloween a fun, safe and happy time. Safety always comes first, well because even though we make it a fun and happy time, there are some not so very nice people out there. This is why we always have to put safety 1st!
Here are a few M&M Tips:
(1) Don’t go out Alone! Make sure you are with a Grown-up!
(1) Watch out for Cars, and NEVER ever get into a Car with a Stranger!
(2) Do not Talk to Strangers!!!!
(3) Don’t Eat your candy until your Parents check it and make sure it is safe to eat.
At this time of year we all think about jack-o-lanterns, costumes, and our favorite Trick-or-Treating for some candy! Those are some of the things that we like to do. Halloween time can be a great time to spend with your family, like carving pumpkins! We have so much fun making jack-o-lanterns, we make all different kinds like… Carving a Cross, Jesus’name, and funny faces! You can carve just about anything you want into a pumpkin, just make sure a Grown-up is helping you. We also love talking about the “Pumpkin Poem”, it is about how the pumpkin is just like us and Jesus cleans all of our Sin away and lets His light shine thru us, that others may see His Goodness. You know like when you clean the seeds out of the pumpkin then you place a candle inside. If you think about it’s kinda the same. That’s also a really Cool way to tell someone about Jesus! Then on Halloween we finally get to wear our Costumes, we get dressed and head to The Fall Festival!When we get there it is so much fun see all of our friends and seeing all the different Costumes! My (Megan) favorite part of the Fall Festival is the food and snacks! So, instead of going out Trick-or-Treating in a spooky Neighborhood, check your local Churches, for “Fall Festivals”. We are sure that you will have just as much fun as we do each year, and you will get to enjoy all the same things that we do, along with good Christian fellowship in a Fun and
